If you had asked us a few years ago who we were, the answer would have been simple: N1 Investment Fund. A venture capital fund focused on pre-seed and seed startups, primarily in fintech. That’s what we did. That’s how we saw ourselves.
But something changed.
Not overnight, not in a single moment, but gradually - through every investment, every deal, every founder conversation, and every challenge we took on. We started realizing that the classic definition of a fund no longer fit us.
And so, today, we’re stepping into the next phase of our journey. N1 Investment Fund is now N1 Investment Company.
Let me explain why this change is more than just a new name.
Venture capital funds operate in a structured way: they raise capital from multiple LPs, invest within a set timeframe, and target exits that fit fund cycles. That’s the playbook.
But here’s the truth: we never quite played by that rulebook.
✔️ We never raised money from multiple LPs. Instead, we managed the capital of a single LP, which gave us more flexibility, faster decision-making, and long-term thinking.
✔️ We didn’t just invest - we built. Our role wasn’t to write a check and wait for returns. We got deeply involved, strategizing, problem-solving, and helping companies grow from the inside.
✔️ We valued partnerships over transactions. While many funds operate with clear investment cycles and exits, we built long-term relationships, co-investing alongside top-tier VCs and angels, creating meaningful collaborations.
It became clear: we weren’t just investors but active players, operators, and strategic partners.
That’s why calling ourselves a fund no longer made sense.
This transition isn’t about rebranding for the sake of it. It’s about clarity. Clarity in what we do, how we work, and where we’re headed.
We’re still investors at heart. But our approach is wider, deeper, and more hands-on than ever before.
Our new Investment Focus:
We remain committed to early-stage investing, but our sector focus has evolved:
Alongside investing, we’ve built out two additional pillars of our work:
We go beyond funding. We take an active role in the businesses we believe in - not as day-to-day operators, but as strategic partners and board members.
We work with founders who want real support - not just capital. We step in where needed, but ultimately, we back strong teams and trust them to lead.
We’ve always been drawn to early-stage innovation, but now we’re taking it a step further.
We’re creating an environment for founders with strong teams to launch and validate new projects fast.
Here’s what that means:
We see venture building as the future, and we’re ready to take the first steps toward making it a reality.
As we make this shift, we’re also proud to announce a leadership transition:
Kyrylo Medvediev is stepping up as our CEO.
Kyrylo has been with N1 from the very beginning. He joined as a legal expert, quickly rose to Legal Director, and soon became the driving force behind our operational strategy.

This transformation isn’t just about our strategy - it’s about where we do it. And we chose Lisbon for a reason.
99% of our team is already here. We’re not just watching Lisbon’s rise - we’re part of it.
This is just the beginning. In the coming months, we’ll be:
We’re stepping into this new era with clarity, ambition, and a relentless drive to build.
So here’s our question to you: Are you a founder, investor, or operator looking to build the future?
Let’s talk.
